Get ready to hear ?nice car? from lots of people when you pull-up in this 2001 Honda Prelude.
You will not find a cleaner ?01 Prelude for this price. This car has been absolutely babied since the day I bought her. Very low kilometers (many of which are highway) and never winter driven. A $400 custom-made winterized California Car Cover is included with this car.
The car looks stock on the outside but has a lots of extra power via an aftermarket straight-through pipes system finished with a Greddy SP2 exhaust (think deep low growl as opposed to high-pitched whine). Air intake is a performance cold air Injen system. This car is incredibly fast with great low-end torque and 210 horses. The clutch is pretty much brand new and was replaced less than 3K ago.
The stock exterior is classy, as opposed to trashy, and makes this car a real sleeper. The only aftermarket exterior upgrades are subtle clear side indicators and rare Type S style fog lights (I haven?t seen another Prelude with these fogs anywhere in the city). Comes with two sets of tires and rims. In the summer time the car sits on 18? Racing Heart Evolution rims with low profile Kumho rubber. The rubber has only been run for 2 summers and has about 85% tread on them. For the spring and fall I have the stock rims with all-season rubber that is about due to be replaced (approximately 40% to 50% tread).
The interior is leather and is absolutely spotless (no rips, no burns, no holes). This car has every possible factory option including heated front bucket seats, heated side mirrors, cruise control, A/C, power windows and power sunroof. It also has rare carbon fiber inlay trim in the stereo cluster and door handles.
Lastly, this car includes two black keys and two black fobs, one grey valet key (only opens the doors and starts the engine; won?t open trunk, trunk floor lock, flip-down back seats or the glove box) and the red master key (very important if you ever need to re-cut or re-program any keys).
I love this car and it pains me to let her go, but we?re planning on growing our family and I need to get something bigger.
2001 was the last year of production for the Honda Prelude.
